ANPR access for car parks and restricted areas

The number plate is the pass. Registered vehicles are recognised as they arrive and the barrier opens; everyone else waits. New from Court Intel, and now taking enquiries for the first sites.

What it does

The plate is the pass

A registered vehicle is read as it approaches and the barrier or gate opens. No fobs, cards, tickets or intercom calls.

Access on a timetable

Each plate gets its own hours: members and staff on their days, contractors for the length of the job, a delivery for one morning.

Bookings open the car park

At a padel club, a player's registered car is let in around their booking, the same way the booking opens the door.

Every vehicle on the record

Each arrival is logged with the time, the entrance and a picture of the plate, searchable from the dashboard.

Alerts for the ones that matter

An unknown vehicle at a restricted entrance, a barrier left open or a car past its time is flagged to your team.

Keeps working when the internet drops

The list of permitted plates is held on site, so the barrier keeps opening for them through a broadband cut.

How it works

  1. SurveyWe look at each entrance: the approach, the lighting, the camera position and the barrier or gate controller.
  2. FitYour electrician fits the camera and connects the barrier to our controller, following our drawings.
  3. CommissionWe commission remotely and test real plates, in daylight and after dark, against your list.
  4. RunAdd and remove plates from the dashboard and see every arrival as it happens.

Questions operators ask

Where can ANPR access be used?

Any entrance a vehicle should only pass with permission: club and member car parks, staff and service yards, office and residential car parks, hotel parking and restricted areas within a site. It is not limited to padel clubs.

Will it work with our existing barrier or gate?

Usually. Most barrier and gate controllers accept an open signal, which our controller provides. We confirm it at the survey, before you commit to anything.

Does it read plates at night and in the rain?

The cameras we fit for number-plate reading carry their own infrared lighting for the dark. We test every lane in daylight and after dark during commissioning.

What about data protection?

A number plate linked to a person is personal data. As the site operator you decide who is on the list and how long records are kept, and records are deleted when that time is up. We supply signs for each entrance and the information you need for your data protection impact assessment, and we process the data on your behalf under a written data processing agreement.

Does it issue parking fines?

No. Court Intel decides who gets in and keeps the record. It does not issue parking charge notices or chase payments.

What does it cost?

Each site is quoted after a short survey: the camera and fitting for each entrance, plus a monthly service that includes the dashboard, alerts and support. The price is fixed in writing before you commit. Prices exclude VAT.
