Sunday's finals in Rotterdam went the same way as Roland Garros a month ago, with Coello and Tapia and Sánchez and Ustero both lifting trophies. The tour moves straight on to Germany this week, the new ranking is out, and Bath finally has a padel club with planning permission.

The tour

Coello and Tapia win in Rotterdam for a tenth title in 2026. Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia beat Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz 6-3, 6-2 in a final that lasted just over an hour, their third Rotterdam title in three editions. It was the first Premier Padel final for Stupaczuk and Sanz as a pair. In the women's final, Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero beat Paula Josemaría and Bea González 6-4, 6-4 for a second title in a row and a fourth of the season. The match was Sánchez's 100th career final. Guinart climbs to 13th in the new ranking. This week's FIP ranking has Marina Guinart up two places to 13th in the women's list, with Marta Ortega moving back into the top ten at Claudia Jensen's expense. In the men's list Martín Di Nenno edges past Fran Guerrero into 11th, Lucas Campagnolo moves up to 15th and Javi Garrido to 19th. The top eight on both sides are unchanged, with Coello and Tapia and Triay and Brea sharing first place. See the full world rankings](/insights/rankings/). Source: [FIP rankings

Three tie-breaks decide the FIP Gold in Perugia. Juanlu Esbrí and Iñigo Jofre, seeded 21st and 30th, beat Javi Barahona and Maxi Sánchez Blasco 7-6, 6-7, 7-6 in a men's final that ran past two and a half hours, a day after the pair had knocked out Sanyo Gutiérrez and Alex Chozas in the semi-finals. Top seeds Verónica Virseda and Martina Fassio took the women's title 6-3, 6-3 against Raquel Eugenio and Jimena Velasco. It is Virseda's third title of the year. Source: FIP

Business and tech

A French match-organising app signs two players. Actu Padel reports that PISTA, an app launched in August 2025 that organises matches and rates player level on a reliability-based system, has added Léa Godallier and Romain Sichez to its athlete programme. Godallier is ranked 50th in the world and won FIP Silver events in Espoo and Porto this season with Alix Valenzuela; Sichez, a former tennis coach ranked 328th, has around 60,000 social media followers. The company says it has reached 20,000 users and plans to add coaching and court booking features. Terms were not disclosed. Source: Actu Padel (French)

New clubs

Bath approves five courts after two refusals. Bath and North East Somerset Council has granted Smash Padel permission for five courts at the former railway station site in Bathampton, after earlier proposals at two other sites in the city were turned down on noise grounds. Bath Voice reports the nearest home is 170 metres away, highways officers raised no objection and 186 residents wrote in support. Smash Padel's chief executive Rupert Taylor, who lives in Bath, said the club would take players from age four. Four more courts at Walcot Rugby Club still await a decision. Source: Bath Voice
