The tour
The four top-seeded men's pairs all reach the Milan semi-finals. Coello and Tapia needed 59 minutes to beat Guerrero and Leal 6-2, 6-2, and Stupaczuk and Sanz beat González and Campagnolo 6-3, 6-4. Defending champions Galán and Chingotto ended Libaak and Alfonso's run 6-3, 7-6, and Lebrón and Augsburger stopped the unseeded Garrido and De Pascual 7-6, 6-3. That sets up Coello and Tapia against Stupaczuk and Sanz, the pair who have beaten Galán and Chingotto twice in a row, and Galán against his former partner Lebrón in the other semi-final. The women's semi-finals start at 2pm Spanish time. World number ones Brea and Triay beat Velasco and Eugenio 6-2, 7-6 and play Sánchez and Ustero first. Fernández and Calvo, champions in Düsseldorf last week, beat Ortega and Araújo 6-1, 6-2 and meet Josemaría and González, who went through when Tamara Icardo retired after losing the first set 6-1. Padel Addict lists the second women's semi-final for no earlier than 6pm, with each men's match following a women's one, and says Red Bull TV is showing all four free in Spain. The finals start at 3pm on Sunday. Source: Padel Addict (Spanish)

The players
Milan says goodbye to Ale Salazar. The four-time world number one lost her quarter-final with Aranza Osoro 6-4, 6-3 to Sánchez and Ustero, and FIP reports an emotional farewell from the Allianz Cloud crowd afterwards. Salazar announced last year that 2026 would be her final professional season. She holds the World Padel Tour record of 52 titles and has topped the world rankings in three different decades. Galán says his partnership with Chingotto has a long future. After back-to-back defeats by Stupaczuk and Sanz in Rotterdam and Düsseldorf prompted talk of a split, Galán told Padel Addict there would be "Chingalán" for a long while yet. He has said he sees no better option on the right side, and that not yet reaching world number one is no reason to change. His focus is on chasing the big titles with Chingotto for the rest of the season. Source: Padel Addict (Spanish)

Belgium's Geens makes his first direct Premier Padel main draw. Clément Geens, Belgium's top-ranked man at 69 in the world, and Dylan Guichard got into Milan's main draw without a wild card or qualifying for the first time. They won their opening match 6-1, 6-2 before losing 7-5, 7-6 to tenth seeds Edu Alonso and Aimar Goñi. Geens told Actu Padel he felt the win was there for the taking and was proud of the level they showed. Source: Actu Padel (French)
