The tour
Coello and Tapia come from a set down to win in Milan. Lebrón and Augsburger, a day after their comeback against Galán and Chingotto, took the first set 6-4 in Sunday's final, but Coello and Tapia won the next two 6-3, 6-2. It is the pair's 12th title of 2026 and their fourth in a row, and FIP reports a crowd of 38,794 across the week at the Allianz Cloud, up 9.3% on last year. Padel Addict puts their winning streak at 18 matches. Sources: FIP, Padel Addict (Spanish)

Ari Sánchez reaches 58 titles, level with Triay and Salazar. Sánchez and Andrea Ustero beat Paula Josemaría and Bea González 7-6, 6-3, recovering from 5-2 down in the first set before taking the tie-break. Sánchez now shares the record for professional women's titles with Gemma Triay and Ale Salazar. It is the pair's fifth title of the season and their third in the last four tournaments, while Josemaría and González have not won since Valladolid in June. Source: FIP

Rankings
The women's race tightens while the men's looks decided. In the new FIP ranking Coello and Tapia share first place on 20,409 points, 3,412 clear of Galán and Chingotto, and Padel Addict says their lead in the season race, now 2,840 points, leaves little doubt about the year-end number one. Brea and Triay still lead the women's race, but their margin over Sánchez and Ustero has fallen from 2,620 to 1,980 points, with 6,500 points still to play for. Further down, Gonzalo Alfonso rose three places to 21st and Valentino Libaak moved into the top 30 after their Milan run. See the full world rankings](/insights/rankings/). Business
What the Milan titles were worth. Padel Addict, citing Premier Padel's figures, says the total prize pot was €479,068. Coello and Tapia each took €26,270 and Sánchez and Ustero €17,000 each, while the runners-up received €13,917 per player in the men's event and €9,350 in the women's. Source: Padel Addict (Spanish)

New clubs
Warwick councillors approve a padel centre against officers' advice. Warwick District Council's planning committee granted permission last Wednesday for three courts, changing rooms and a café inside a unit at Squab Hall Farm, off Harbury Lane near Leamington Spa, even though a report had said the scheme could not be justified. Members decided the jobs and the health and sport benefits outweighed the harm. The plan, which Bishop's Tachbrook Parish Council supported, is expected to create six jobs and would open from 7am to 11pm daily. Source: Warwick Nub News

Two padel schemes get the green light in North Cork. Cork County Council has approved a five-court indoor centre at the Mallow GAA complex, with conditions including fully enclosed courts, no amplified music and a noise management plan. In Fermoy, two modular courts in a supermarket car park have five-year permission, and the operator has offered 2,000 free court hours a year on weekday middays for schools, charities, youth groups and older people.
